edirol fa-101

Another GAS for my home studio.

The red box is a edirol FA-101 firewire audio card, bought used.

It works perfectly with my gnu/linux setup, using freebob driver, waiting for ffado stable release.

To many wires!

    I’m from Italy!!!!

    I have buyed the same card and it won’t work!!!!
    I’m desperate!!!!

    I have Ubuntu 9.04 but I tried 8.04 and 8.10 as well!!
    I have loaded the ieee1394 driver and I can see the /dev/raw1394 device
    but freebob hangs!!!
    Please tell me what linux distro you have… so I can install it!!

    I have a laptop dedicated to music so I can install anything on it…

    Hi Nicola,
    a couple of hints: check the permission for /dev/raw1394. check the sample rate
    on your card and in qjackctl.
