Ducking with ardour
Posted by becks
Ducking is a nice effect if you are a podcaster.
This is my setup: sc3 ladspa compressor + ardour
one bus with 3 channels, and sc3 (sidechain is the first input)
one mono track, with your voice, and one stereo track with background music

then put a send from your voice track (pre fader) to sc3 bus (input 1)

and put an insert (pre fader) on your background music (output bus 2 and 3, in bus 2 3)

finally, tune your compressor as you want

(thanks giorgio for your support!)
